Guest Designer Open Call!

My it has been a very busy week! It ran by quite fast this time, could not believe it is Friday already-TGIF!
If you follow along on my blog, you may already know that I have signed on to be a consultant for Close to my Heart. This is my second time around and this time I am working it like a business.
So, the first order of business is marketing! That’s why you are reading about this now :)

I really do love the product line. I have had many opportunities to play with other product lines that are available these days. There is no shortage of shops online and in your local town, to keep all of us happy in our crafting needs. It took me awhile to kinda discover my taste in design. Hope that makes sense. And I love a vintage style, maybe even shabby chic. But, there are times when a card or a mini- album just screams for color and class. That is where I put Close to my Heart(CTMH) in my scrapbooking and card making.

What brings me to my title. There are so many companies that have guest designers to showcase their product line. It really is a genius marketing strategy. Most of the designers you are familiar with started out as avid crafters, just like you and me. What makes you buy a particular paper or embellishment? It is how it is designed by the people chosen to do just that!

Within CTMH, the consultants, plus the idea book aide us in presenting the product line to the public. But, I am just one person! If you only see my designs your not looking at all of the potential that embellishment or stamp has? So, I decided, I want some guest designers! Why not? So please keep reading and I will explain it all to you.

What’s in it for you? First, you have the opportunity to score free product from me and CTMH. You keep whatever is left over after your projects is finished.
Internet exposure. Drive more traffic to your blog, YouTube channel and Facebook pages.
Start building up your customer database- if you sell products yourself. This is a great way to network with people who have similar interests.
Plus- it is fun, fun, fun!!

What do I get? I get much of the same benefits. In fact, I gain exactly what you do. With the addition of hopefully gaining some sales or even those interested in being a consultant with CTMH.

If you have read this far, it is safe to say you are interested in this proposal? Good, let me tell you what is required.

In order to participate, you must have one or all of these-
A blog. Youtube channel or Facebook page( Facebook pg. must be a page dedicated to crafting, not your personal page.) You will receive various products to showcase CTMH, and will design something from what you receive. Plus I will throw in some goodies just for you :)

If this sounds like fun, and you would like to join in, please email me at Ancheta@Centurylink.Net with Designer in the subject line.

There is only a few spots available, so act fast!
I will contact you, and give more detailed information.

Thanks Friends, Happy Scrappin’

Another Chance For Success? Or Is It Just The Discount

Hello to all you crafty folks. It has been a while since being ready to write. I took a bit of a break from crafting anything, but chose instead to educate myself a little more on different techniques used in scrapbooking. It seems there is no shortage of different ways to ink a stamp and transfer that to paper…neatly :) The reason I needed to stop jumping in blindly, I was signing up to do swaps in a couple of groups I participate in- without knowing the technique. I thought I could just wing it. Turned out awful and I wasted not only time but some expensive card stock to boot. In the upcoming months, I will be sharing these techniques here on my blog.

Along the same line of news….I have re-joined Close To My Heart, as a consultant. They now offer 2 ways to get started. For those on a budget, there is a 49.00 sign up deal. That still gets you a good deal of new products, your discount,a shopping website that is available to new consultants free of charge. That is a huge deal, e-commerce sites usually run about 25-49 dollars per month. http://creat-w-kat.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Consultant_EssentialsKit.jpg
I have always loved CTMH’s product line. The variety is good, I love the exclusive ink colors they have now. If you like to stamp like I do, you just cant go wrong with this company. I think the style is classic. I have seen lines that a cartoonish, and that has never appealed to me. The other incentive that was for new consultants signing up in May only, is the rest of the stamp of the month set’s from April-July. I am a sucker for free stamps! Just look at them
Generally, these sets are only available for 1 month. Normal retail is 17.95, however, if you spend 50.00 or more, then the stamp is yours for 5.00.

I was lucky enough to take advantage of this new incentive. I just love the stamps of the month. Some of them are just perfect for any occasion. These sets are no exception to the norm :)

Travel Mini-Album

Hi everyone! I have been burning the midnight oil working on a mini-album. I had spent a few months watching tutorials and deciding what I would like to create next.

I finally settled on Graphic45′s paper line called “tropical travelogue”. If you are not familiar with Graphic45 paper line, it really is a go to when creating mini-albums. All of the paper in a pack go well with each other and if you are a fan of the vintage look you can’t go wrong.

I decided on a small mini-album that I could place smaller pics into. I will be working on a tutorial for this mini as well as another style. But for now take a look, leave a comment and tell me what you think! I am also entering a weekly challenge at Simon Says tamp and Show!. I visit that site several times a week to look at the wonderful creations the design team has done. Stop by and see for yourself!

I love big flowers on a cover! I made this one from plain card stock and sprayed with gold dust glimmer spray. I had some wood shell accents from Close to my Heart and I cut out the flowers, title and fish from the paper.

On this page I found some old postcards. I prated it out on card stock, made a flower and cut the lady out of the paper.

Sorry about the blurry pic. These are the last 2 pages!

Please show some love and let me know what you think.
